![]() | 1. Welcome to the tutorial of using and configuring the TCM 300 Firmware. In it we will demonstrate 2 operating modes. Let us set up the environment. First we need a TCM Module. |
![]() | 2. You can use either the TCM 300 or TCM 320. Bothwill work just fine. We work with the TCM 320. Please make sure your module is programmed with the TCM 300 firmware. |
![]() ![]() | 3. Next we need the EVA 300 evaluation board. To power the module we connect the USB cable to the EVA Board. We use it only as a power supply. No data connection is established. To also enable data transfer you have to connect an EnOcean programmer instead. In this tutorial we only need a power supply. |
![]() | 4. Finally we connect the TCM 320 to the EVA board. |
![]() | 5. Please note that the marking of the antenna on the board has to correspond with the actual antenna position. |
![]() | 6. Now let's move on to the first example. Move the jumper to Mode 2 on the EVA Board. This configures the TCM as a single channel actuator. The TCM has 5 operating modes. |
![]() | 7. Once we set the right operating node we are ready to power up the EVA board. |
![]() | 8. We learn in a PTM 200 switch. Please hold it ready. |
![]() | 9. To activate the learn mode we press the LRN button for 2 seconds. |
![]() | 10. After entering the learn mode the LEDs have changed. The LMI LED is ON and our channel LED is flashing. To learn-in the PTM we just press and release one rocker. After the TCM receives the telegram and learns in the PTM it turns on the channel LED for 2 seconds. Now we exit the LRN mode by pressing the LRN button again for 2 seconds. |
![]() | 11. If we press PTM rocker now we see that the TCM will switch ON/ OFF the channel LED we have learned in before. |
![]() | 12. By repeating the same process we learn the PTM out. Now just exit the LRN Mode. When we press the PTM rocker now we see no LED switching. |
![]() ![]() | 13. Let's move to second demonstration. We will demonstrate Operating Mode 3. This is the 4 channel mode of the TCM module. To switch modes, first we power down the EVA board. Move the jumper to Mode 3. Please note that to change modes the ID Table has to be clear. Otherwise the mode won't change. |
![]() | 14. Turn on the EVA Bord and start the learn mode. Now we can learn-in the PTM rocker on the first channel. By pressing the LRN button again we move to next channel. Here we could learn-in a different PTM switch. But in this example we will use the same PTM rocker as before. Every time we press the LRN Button we move to the next channel. If we press the LRN Button again after reaching the fourth and last channel we exit the LRN Mode. |
![]() | 15. Now by pressing the PTM rocker we control two channels. |
![]() ![]() | 16. By repeating this process we could learn the PTM out. Keep the second channel learned in so we can show the functionality of the clear button. Make sure the PTM rocker is still learned-in on the second channel. |
![]() ![]() | 17. By Pressing the CLEAR button for 2 seconds we clear all learned-in Switches and afterwards enter the learn mode. Now just exit the learn mode. |
![]() | 18. Our PTM is now completely learned-out. |
![]() | 19. This concludes our Tutorial. |
