Senior Engineer (Embedded Systems) (f/m/d)

As a Senior Embedded Engineer (m/f/d) at EnOcean, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge wireless IoT solutions, with a specific focus on wireless, self-powered devices. You will be an integral part of our talented engineering team, responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing embedded systems that are the core of our energy-harvesting wireless devices. Your expertise in radio technology and power-optimized embedded design will be essential in driving innovation and delivering high-performance, low-power solutions for our customers.

Your role

  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of self-powered, wireless IOT sensor devices.
  • Independently design complex circuits and PCB layouts, considering signal integrity, noise reduction, and manufacturability.
  • Design and implement advanced low-power strategies using power management techniques and technologies.
  • Continuously research and implement techniques to optimize RF performance, improving range, reliability, and interference resistance.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and debugging of complex hardware and firmware issues using various tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of embedded electronics components into the overall product design.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, actively participating in design reviews and process improvements.

Your profile

  • Strong background in RF engineering, with expertise in wireless radio systems and wireless communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with embedded software development using languages like C/C++ is a plus, though not an absolute requirement.
  • Solid understanding of embedded IoT device development, wireless communication standards, and low-power designs.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, ability to tackle complex technical challenges, and provide innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
