VP Operations & Supply Chain (f/m/d)

Location: Munich (Oberhaching), Germany

As EnOcean is growing rapidly, the VP Operations & Supply Chain will help us lift our operations and supply chain to the next level. This leadership role will have a strategic impact on how we architect our business going forward. However, we also need someone who is willing to roll up the sleeves to make this strategic impact come to fruition.

Our operations team has been able to increase our production by 25% while in the midst of unprecedented supply shortages. They are incredibly strong on the day-to-day operations. EnOcean utilizes three manufacturing partners of which the largest two are based in Europe and one in China. We have strategic relationships with most Internet of Things chip vendors around the world.

However, during these challenging years, it is also clear to us that we need expertise in the way we architect our supply chain, the systems we use and the partners we work with.

Your role

  • Create and drive our operations and supply chain strategy
  • Lead and manage the global operations and supply chain team including the functions of new product introductions at our EMS partners, systems/tools and processes/governance
  • Build and evolve the organization, capabilities, and process/systems foundation to execute strategy
  • Provide the drive to challenge established processes and ways of working, with a view to facilitate innovation and generate synergies across categories
  • Manage ongoing analysis and identification of strategic industry trends and competitive activities
  • Internal cooperation with Quality, Product management and R&D
  • Make or buy decisions
  • If desired, selection of new suppliers
  • Drive close collaboration with some of our suppliers in Europe and Asia and work closely with them to secure supply and manage inventory risk
  • Support in the implementation of continuous improvements of tools & processes for Supply Order Management and supplier compliance

Your profile

  • You have completed your higher education and have leadership or project management experience, ideally in an (electronics) industry company
  • 2+ years of relevant Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory or equivalent experience
  • You are a communication professional in English and German
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a “hands-on” attitude and the ability to focus both on detail and fast execution
  • You are confident and self-assured, enjoy working in cross-functional and intercultural teams and bring a good sense of humor with you
