Oberhaching, January 15, 2026 \u2013 At Light + Building 2026 (Frankfurt am Main, March 8\u201313, 2026), EnOcean will present the latest generation of programmable transceivers as well as a comprehensive update of the self-powered motion detectors and light sensors of the EMDC family in Hall 9, Booth D10\/D16. Both innovations enable highly integrated, maintenance-free, and secure automation solutions that meet the growing demands of flexible and sustainable building concepts and modern workplace solutions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TCM 600: A Technology Leap for Secure, Highly Integrated Actuator Solutions<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Light + Building 2026, EnOcean will introduce its latest generation of programmable transceivers. The new TCM 600 enables highly optimized actuator solutions in EnOcean systems. \u201cWith four times the processing power, eight times more memory, and more than 40 percent lower power consumption compared to previous TCM modules, the TCM 600 represents a major technology leap and reinforces our leadership position in sustainable building automation,\u201d explains Matthias Kassner, Vice President Product Marketing at EnOcean GmbH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In combination with energy-harvesting switches and sensors, the TCM 600 uniquely meets the requirements of modern, flexible and sustainable work environments. It can be individually programmed and supports the latest EnOcean Alliance specifications for security and over the air updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TCM 600 is based on a comprehensive hardware security architecture anchored by secure boot, secure key storage and anti-tampering detection. Thus, it meets the requirements of Security Level 3 certification for the ARM Platform Security Architecture. \u201cProviding latest generation security accelerators ensures that the new transceiver generation is prepared for future requirements. With this, we reaffirm our security promise already established in 2012 as a fundamental pillar of our modern communication solutions based on energy-harvesting technology,\u201d Kassner emphasizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Energy-Autonomous Sensors for Flexible, Demand-Driven Space Utilization<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

EnOcean is also presenting the latest update of its proven EMDC <\/a>family of wireless, self-powered motion and light sensor devices. \u201cEMDC products have established themselves as the preferred solution for monitoring occupancy and light levels in meeting rooms and open-plan offices. Their installation is easy without wiring, and their operation is autonomous and maintenance-free. They reduce energy consumption through automatic lighting and HVAC control, optimize the use of shared spaces and enable utilization-based services such as cleaning,\u201d Kassner explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this update, EnOcean further optimizes the performance of EMDC sensors in challenging scenarios such as corridors or individual workstations in open-plan offices. A newly integrated snap-in interface for the PIR sensor enables the installation of dedicated masking covers. Three specially designed covers will be included in the product packaging, for typical applications such as corridor monitoring or under desk occupancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Future-Proof Platform for Sustainable Building Automation<\/strong>  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe combination of the high-performance TCM 600 and the flexible, energy-autonomous EMDC sensors provides system integrators and building planners with a future-proof platform for intelligent, sustainable, and cost-effective building automation,\u201d says Kassner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TCM 600 is available for customer designs with immediate effect. The improved EMDC is now being evaluated by lead customers and will be shipped in Sub-GHz and Bluetooth versions in the second quarter of calendar year 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
