This forced courthouse staff to rely on a simple key switch near the courtroom entrance to operate all lighting. The lack of flexibility, control, and reliability created operational challenges for courthouse staff and judges. Especially during proceedings that required precise lighting conditions these challenges became apparent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Wireless, Energy-Efficient Solution for Modern Justice<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To restore full functionality and introduce modern efficiencies, the county implemented a comprehensive lighting and controls upgrade. Three of the four existing lighting applications were replaced with new, comparable LED fixtures. The remaining fixtures received updated light sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equally important, the county sought a safe, secure, and easy-to-use lighting control solution. Judges were to have primary control directly at the bench, along with secondary control from the corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/second-tribunale.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31141\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/second-tribunale.png 1000w, https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/second-tribunale-300x120.png 300w, https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/second-tribunale-150x60.png 150w, https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/second-tribunale-768x307.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A robust and flexible wireless control architecture was introduced. It uses <strong>EnOcean LEDRU-W-EO relays<\/strong>, <strong>EOSCU-W-EO occupancy sensors<\/strong>, and <strong>Illumra ET-S2AWH-FAC-PC dual rocker self-powered wireless switches<\/strong> powered by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/en\/technology\/energy-harvesting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"opens a new tab\">EnOcean technology<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each fixture\u2014except for the daisy-chained 2&#215;2 troffers\u2014received a dedicated relay.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The wireless switches provide seamless, battery-free operation which reduces maintenance efforts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The system fully bypassed the previous controls, ensuring secure, reliable, and intuitive lighting management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>This project was a perfect example of how EnOcean technology can bring modern functionality into existing buildings without disruption,<\/em>\u201d said John Tasso, Business Development Manager at <a href=\"https:\/\/cdiweb.com\/search\/?keyword=enocean\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"opens a new tab\">CDI<\/a>, the EnOcean distributor who made this project a success. \u201c<em>The courthouse team immediately saw the benefit of flexible, wireless controls that don\u2019t rely on batteries or complex wiring.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Striking Electric LLC delivered the installation efficiently with a skilled, coordinated team of five electricians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Success-Stories\/bottoni-tribunale.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/bottoni-tribunale.png 1000w, https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/bottoni-tribunale-300x120.png 300w, https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/bottoni-tribunale-150x60.png 150w, https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/bottoni-tribunale-768x307.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Modern, Secure, and Maintenance-Free Environment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Collier County Courthouse now benefits from a modern, energy-efficient LED lighting system paired with a secure, flexible, wireless control solution.
