One of the most important developments is the transition to a structured ESG management approach. With the completion of our first Double Materiality Assessment, we now prioritize sustainability topics based on their real impact on the environment and society, and our business. This ensures that our efforts are focused, measurable, and aligned with regulatory standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ESG is no longer a standalone initiative. It is now integrated into governance, with defined responsibilities and direct oversight at the management level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Turning Data into Evidence<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, we have moved from general sustainability claims to product-level evidence. For selected products, we have introduced Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs), providing transparent proof of the environmental benefits of our battery-free technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, we have improved the quality and completeness of our emissions data, including new Scope 3 categories such as employee commuting. This enables more precise, data-driven decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Stronger Governance and Compliance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024\/2025, we significantly strengthened our governance framework. Highlights include the introduction of a comprehensive Internal Code of Conduct and the achievement of ISO\/IEC 27001 certification, reinforcing our commitment to information security and trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have also advanced our readiness for key regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act and the EU Data Act, while enhancing supplier oversight through stricter controls and monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Environmental Progress with Measurable Results<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our environmental performance shows clear progress. By refining our methodology and leveraging more accurate product data, we now better understand our footprint. The results are encouraging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compared to the previous year, total emissions have decreased significantly, while operational waste remains fully recycled and paper usage has been reduced by more than half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These results reflect both operational improvements and the inherently low-impact nature of our battery-free technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sustainability by Design<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.enocean.com\/en\/about-us\/sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"opens a new tab\">Sustainability <\/a>at EnOcean continues to be driven by our core innovation. Our energy-harvesting technology eliminates the need for batteries, reducing resource use, waste, and maintenance. At the same time, our solutions enable smarter, demand-based building management and help customers reduce energy consumption and emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This dual impact \u2013 low direct footprint and high positive impact through our products \u2013 remains at the heart of our approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Looking Ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While we have made significant progress, this report also sets the direction for what comes next.
