1. The programming with EOPX is unstable on a laptop
2. Troubleshooting "FracN values missing" message
3. How to remove code protect bit
4. Installation Troubleshooting - Missing FTDI Drivers
The reason this seems to happen is due to the laptop's
handling of power management. When you unplug the laptop from the wall
outlet and Windows' power management scheme is set to
'Laptop/Portable', power to the USB bus (and all devices on the system)
gets reduced significantly. Since the EOP Programmer requires the
lot of USB power, there is not enough to keep it functioning.
SOLUTION:
Set your computer's power management scheme to 'Always On' as follows:
1) Click Start->Control Panel.
2) Double-click the 'Power Options' icon.
3) On the General tab, select "Always On" on the 'Power Scheme' menu.
4) Click 'Apply'
5) Click 'OK'

If you have set the code protect bit with EOPX the easiest way to clear this bit is simply to download another application to EO3000I chip.
Do NOT use
eopx.exe -erase
to clear the codeprotect bit. This will clear the code protect bit but also erase the whole configuration area! After then you have to restore the configuration from backup otherwise the EO3000I chip will not work correctly.
