Remote Management Example

The Remote Management allows EnOcean devices to be configured and maintained through the air interface using radio or serial telegrams. Sensors or switches shall be learned into or deleted from already installed actuators or gateways which are hard to access.

In Remote Management two actors are specified:

1. Remote Managmenet Controller - is device that sends remote commands.
   
2. Remote device - is device that receives commands and is beeing managed.
   

There are two possibilities how to evaluate Remote Management:

1. Program your own controller firmware:
   • program one module with the Device firmware
   • extend the Controller firmware functionality and program it the second module

1. Using TCM300 and DolphinView
   • program one module with the Device firmware
   • program another module with the TCM300 firmware
   • put the TCM300 in Mode-1
   • connect the TCM300 to a PC where DolphinView is running
