Overview

PTM335 Suite is the set of tools to enable the configuration and development of EnOcean PTM 335 modules. The current tools integrated in the PTM 335 Suite are:

This tool allows you to modify certain parameters stored in the PTM 335 memory to adapt the PTM 335 behaviour more closely to your needs. Here a list of the most remarkable features:

Intuitive graphical interface.
Program and read the memory configuration with just one button click.
Save and load your PTM 335 configurations in files.
Automatic back up of the PTM 335 memory before modifications are performed.
Port selection to indivually choose between several connected programmers.

MSP430 Flasher

The PTM 335 configurator makes use of the Texas Instruments command line program MSP430 Flasher to communicate with the programming device. The MSP430 Flasher is not included in the PTM 335 Suite installation packet and must be downloaded and installed separetely. Instructions are included in the corresponding chapter.

The firmware shows the software layer structure and the communication to the harware. As device programmer the Texas Instruments MSP-FET430UIF or equivalent can be used.

Note: MSP430 Flasher will update automatically the Texas Instruments MSP-FET430UIF firmware if needed. This can happen, for instance, the first time you use the PTM335 Configurator to download or read information. MSP-FET430UIF firmware update procedure takes about 1 minute. During this time the MSP-FET430UIF Power and Mode leds will blink and the PTM 335 Configurator will seem to be hanging. After the procedure is finished PTM 335 Configurator continues its normal operation.
