Student placements at EnOcean

During your placement you will become familiar with the innovative EnOcean technology and have a great chance to contribute to the success of the company. EnOcean continues to grow rapidly and offers many career options. That’s why we are very happy that some of our interns return to EnOcean as regular employees after their graduation.

Individual requirements

Applicants MUST meet the following criteria:

Due to legal requirements it’s important that you are able to retain your student status throughout the placement. For example, this is given if the placement is a required part of your course (not a “Student in suspense”).

  • At least 2 years completed studies
  • Be genuinely fluent in English, written and spoken
  • 6 to 12 months availability

We value basic German language skills but it’s not a mandatory requirement. If you have any other previous related work experience please let us know.

  • Curiosity and motivation to accept new challenges
  • A keen sense of responsibility
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Maturity to work with minimal supervision
  • Good knowledge of analogue and digital electronics
  • Some experience of microcontroller circuit design
  • RF circuit design experience is useful
  • Know-how in any of the following languages: C/C++/Python/JavaScript
  • Experience in any of the following software areas: embedded/web/desktop/cloud/DevOps/security
  • Some mechatronics” experience
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits would be useful
  • Basic knowledge of CAD programs
  • Genuine interest in MEMS/micro-machine design
  • Knowledge of energy harvesting principles and mechanical design would be useful
  • Your internship will be in Munich, an international city in South Germany. It’s an international city with many students from all over the world.   • EnOcean will cover the costs for the initial trip from your home address to EnOcean and return.
