We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat it confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this Data Protection Statement.
This Data Protection Statement applies to our mobile iPhone and Android app “EnOcean Tool” (hereinafter “app” or “mobile app”). It explains the nature, purpose and scope of data collection during mobile app use.
We point out that data transmission over the Internet be exposed to security gaps. A complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible.

Data recording when contacting us
Insofar as you contact us by e-mail or via contact form, your email-address and, if provided by you, your name and your phone number shall be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing the request. The data sent by you to us by way of contact request, remain with us until the purpose for data storage ceases to apply (e.g. after completion of your request). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected. These data are processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is required for the performance of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the data are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries submitted to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if it has been obtained; the consent can be revoked at any time.
Data recording within the framework of mobile app use
- When downloading the mobile app, the required information is transferred to the App Store, in particular user name, email-address and customer number of your account, time of download, payment information and the individual device identification number. We have no control over this data recording by the app store operators and we are not responsible for it. We process data only as far as it is/becomes necessary for downloading the app to your mobile device.
- When you use the mobile app, your device identification is recorded within the app to determine if your device is suitable to provide you with the features of our mobile app and to ensure stability and security (legal basis is Article 6 para. (1) lit. f) GDPR).
- This mobile app does not set any cookies.
- When you start using our mobile app, we will ask you in a pop-up window for permission to access your smartphone’s camera. If you grant access to the camera, it will be used exclusively for scanning QR codes. No photos or video recordings will be stored or transmitted to us. Only a technical evaluation of the QR code will be carried out in order to process the information contained therein for the respective function of the app. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing a functional and user-friendly app and in the fast and error-free collection of device-related information by means of QR code scanning.
If you do not grant permission, we will not use this data. In this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of our app. You can grant or revoke permission later in the operating system settings under “Settings.” - Furthermore, the use of the mobile app does not require access rights to certain functions or data on your device (e.g., location data, contacts, etc.).
Your rights
You have the following rights in relation to the personal data concerning you:

- Right to objection against data collection,
- Right to data portability.
