Wireless Lighting Control Meets Seamless Integration
July 10, 2025
Modern buildings need lighting control systems that are not only efficient, but also seamlessly integrate into smart building platforms. That’s what ETC, a global leader in architectural and commercial lighting control solutions, has achieved thanks to EnOcean technology.
By combining their Echoflex wireless lighting controls with the O3 platform from Delta Controls, ETC has designed a solution for large-scale commercial environments. The Echoflex Networked Lighting Control system is a powerful integration that is ideal for office buildings, schools, and healthcare facilities.
A Smart Combination of Wireless Devices
At the core of the system are Delta Controls’ O3 Edge devices. These are slim, ceiling-mounted units that bring advanced sensing and coordination to building spaces. These devices communicate wirelessly with Echoflex relays and dimmers. Thanks to the energy-efficient wireless EnOcean technology, this cross-platform communication is not only possible – it’s robust, battery-free, and scalable.
EnOcean – The Wireless Backbone
The wireless EnOcean standard is key to bridging the distributed Echoflex controls with Delta Controls’ intelligent O3 platform and centralized building management systems (BMS).
“The EnOcean technology enables Echoflex devices to communicate effortlessly with Delta Controls’ O3 platform,” says Paul Greening, Architectural and Commercial Market Manager at ETC. “It’s the wireless backbone that makes this system scalable, secure, and easy to install – without compromising performance.”
Smart Software for Better Building Management
Complementing the hardware is enteliWEB, Delta Controls’ on-premise BMS software. It adds powerful scheduling, monitoring, and control capabilities via customizable dashboards and flexible event handling – supporting better energy performance, occupant comfort, and facility management. A one-year subscription is included with the system, with future updates available via continued licensing.
