This is no coincidence: as a pioneer in battery-free and wireless IoT solutions, sustainability has always been part of the EnOcean DNA. It shapes not only our products, but also all areas of the company, from supply chains to management. Technology with a Purpose
Every EnOcean product tells a story of energy efficiency. By harvesting energy from light, motion, or temperature differences, our sensors and switches eliminate the need for batteries or cables. This simple idea has a profound effect: less waste, lower emissions, and fewer resources consumed. Today, more than 22 million EnOcean devices are deployed worldwide, helping companies and communities make their spaces more sustainable. Together, they’ve already helped avoid over 1.6 million tons of CO₂ emissions. This is the equivalent of taking hundreds of thousands of cars off the road.
A Holistic Approach to Sustainability
Our commitment goes far beyond our products. It’s reflected in the way we operate, the materials we use, and the partnerships we build. We maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, ensuring that quality and environmental stewardship are part of our everyday decisions. We work closely with our suppliers through a comprehensive Supplier Code of Conduct, promoting human rights, fair labor, and ethical sourcing across the value chain. Inside EnOcean, we foster an open and inclusive culture, where sustainability is everyone’s responsibility.
Measurable Impact, Transparent Progress
The EnOcean Sustainability Report 2023/2024 provides a clear view of our environmental footprint and the actions we’re taking to reduce it. We’re already operating with a modest direct footprint thanks to our fabless model. Now we plan to transition to 100% renewable electricity across our sites. We’re expanding Life Cycle Assessments to more product lines, further reducing waste through packaging reuse, and working with suppliers to lower emissions and improve transparency.
